Popeye and Bluto’s Bilge-Rat Barges at Islands of Adventure

This is article 16 in a series called, “The Orlando Flex Ticket Adventure.”  Our hope while writing these articles is that Orlando vacation planners will realize that they can unlock the power of a flex ticket and turn their vacations into adventures that they wanted when they go to Orlando.  This Orlando flex ticket tour stop focuses on Popeye and Bluto’s Bilge-Rat Barges at Islands of Adventure.

The Bilge-Rat Barges are river rapids inner tubes that take you through the cartoony town of Sweet Haven. Sweet Haven is where Popeye and Bluto have set up shop. You want to make sure that you don’t bring anything on the ride that you don’t want to get wet, or you want to make sure that it is securely covered underneath the covered compartments in the center of your barge.

Popeye and Bluto are squabbling over Olive Oyl, and this story plays out during your voyage through Sweet Haven. Bluto’s up to his old tricks again and it’s up to you to help Popeye save her. As you float through the town, crashing through whirlpools, you may have difficulty following the story that the characters are telling you. Since walls of water constantly come pouring in over the riders, most of your time will probably be spent trying to predict when the next big wave will strike.

At some points, your barge picks up speed and gets moving pretty fast down the currents. Not only will you have to dodge waves, you’ll have water falls and water cannons to contend with too. Chances are very slim that you’ll get off of this ride without getting completely drenched.

Here’s how we recommend you transform this from a ride into an Orlando flex ticket adventure:

If you allow yourself to take in Sweet Haven’s scenery, you’ll notice that it is designed to get you wet. People wear ponchos on this attraction often, but where’s the fun in doing that? Plan on getting wet. It may be refreshing on a hot Florida day anyway. Most of the time when water comes into the boat, it doesn’t get everyone at the same time. The inner tubes turn during the ride, giving riders not only different views of the ride, but different opportunities for a good soaking. So you can laugh at the other people who get soaked during those times on the ride when you don’t. Just don’t be offended when the other riders laugh when the water comes calling for you.

When you’re soaking wet, you can go to Universal Studios and ride the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit and see if it will dry you off. Unlock the power of an Orlando flex ticket and turn your Orlando vacation into an Orlando flexticket adventure!

Get in on the Action at Disaster! At Universal Studios on Your Orlando Flex Ticket Adventure

Most people who see this attraction have no idea what to expect when they first go in.
Just like the name suggests: Disaster – A major Motion Picture Starring You, is driven by YOU, the audience.
The difference between a pretty good show and a really great show depends on the audience participation.
Just keep that in mind if you’re picked to perform on stage on your Orlando Flex Ticket tour.
Become a star on your Orlando Flex Ticket adventure
If you really want to get chosen, your best advice is to act like you don’t want to be picked.
Do that by pinning your hands to your side, slump your shoulders, and don’t make contact with the host.
If you truly don’t want to get picked, then you’d better hide somewhere in the back where the host can’t see you.
If you got all that, then go do Disaster! A Major Motion Picture starring you! at Universal Studios.
Ham it up on your Orlando Flex Ticket adventure
As for what the volunteer actors are asked to do: it’s not extreme like Fear Factor Live.
You just have to act out scenes. And by “act” that means ham it up as much as possible.
If you’re shy in front of crowds, keep in mind that you’ll never see these people again.
So you have license to cut loose and let your inner academy award winner out for a few minutes.
At this point, you may be wondering what’s going on, what the purpose is of the filming, and if there is anything else that lies in store for you at this attraction.
You don’t have to wait long, the best is yet to come….

Your role is to panic on this Orlando Flex Ticket tour stop
Staying with the theme of a “disaster” movie, the attraction climaxes on a train ride into a major earthquake.
Everybody on the train is expected to make the disaster scene come to life with their panic.
You’ll be filmed while flood waters rush at you, fire spreads around you, and the building caves in.
Once it’s done, the final, hilarious “masterpiece” is shown on TV screens throughout the train.
Live the Orlando Flex Ticket adventure you want to live
The attraction starts off a little slow, but the final product is well worth the experience on your Flex Ticket tour.
When you’re done, you can use your Orlando Flex Tickets to face Poseidon’s Fury at Islands of Adventure.

An Orlando Flex Ticket Adventure: Dudley Doright’s Ripsaw Falls at Islands of Adventure

This is article 15 in a series called, “The Orlando Flex Ticket Adventure.” We’ve written these articles in the hope that if you’re planning an Orlando vacation, you can unlock the power of an Orlando Flexticket.  With Orlando Flex Tickets, you can turn your Orlando vacation into the true Orlando adventure that you really wanted.  This Orlando Flexticket stop focuses on Dudley Doright’s Ripsaw Falls at Islands of Adventure.

Ripsaw Falls is built the same way as it would look if it were drawn in the comics pages.  Complete with bright colors and designed in strange sharp angles, Ripsaw Falls is a land that’s far away from your usual everyday live.  Ripsaw Falls is a tiny town in which you tour by way of a log flume.  You go through the ups and downs that this cartoonish town lays out in front of you.  This attraction, however, isn’t just about touring an unusual-looking Canadian village.

Dudley Doright’s gal-pal Nell Fenwick has been kidnapped by Snidley Whiplash, so the Canadian Mountie, Dudley Doright sets off to rescue her. The chase leads him through the town, and you’ll follow him on the chase. In classic Dudley Doright fashion, your trip through Ripsaw Falls is narrated with the same wise-cracking one-liners that were plentiful during the cartoon shows. Not only are there one-liners for you to listen to, Ripsaw Falls is painted with one-liners and puns in its decor. You want to make sure you pay attention to the scenery also to get the full experience.

For the most part, the ride through Ripsaw Falls is fairly tame. Your flume moves pretty fast, but not at break-neck speed. As you travel through the town, you encounter teaser drops that you’ll brace yourself for, but they’re short and end quickly. And while you travel, the characters of the Dudley Doright show put on a still-life performance of what’s going on with the chase. You aren’t going to get super-wet on this ride, but you’ll know you were on it by the time you get off.

Here’s how we recommend for you to turn this from an attraction to an Orlando Flex ticket adventure:

You’ll go into Ripsaw Falls because of the 75 foot drop you see flume riders surfing down at the front of the attraction. You’ll spend most of the time wondering when that drop is coming if you’ve never done this ride before. It’s not easy to predict when the big drop is coming due to the chaotic nature of Ripsaw Falls. If you are able, go on this attraction at night.
When you leave Ripsaw Falls, you can you use your Orlando flextickets to take the Dolphin Plunge at Aquatica. Unlock the power of an Orlando Flex Ticket and turn your Orlando vacation into a real Orlando flex ticket adventure.

Help the X-Men Fight Magneto on Storm Force Accelatron on an Orlando Flex Ticket Adventure

This is article 13 in a series called, “The Orlando Flex Ticket Adventure.” The purpose of these articles is to teach would-be Orlando vacation planners how they can unlock the potential of an Orlando Flexticket. You can turn your Orlando vacation into an Orlando Flex Ticket adventure that you really waned when you decided to go to Orlando for your vacation. This Orlando Flex Ticket tour stop features The Storm Force Accelatron at Islands of Adventure.

Storm Force Accelatron at Universal Studios Islands of Adventure

Storm Force Accelatron is a teacup ride similar to the Mad Hatter attraction in Fantasyland at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. However, this ride has a few extras built into it. The Storm Force Accelatron spins on a platform, but the individual cups can also spin independently of each other. You can control the speed of your individual cup through the force you exert on the bar in the middle of the ride. The harder you pull on the bar, the faster your cup is going to spin. It’s actually probably tougher to spin this cup compared to the teacups at Magic Kingdom, but once it gets going, it’s going to spin a lot faster than the Magic Kingdom cups too.

In addition to the guest-propelled capability this ride has, you’ll also get a light and sound-effects display. Thunder rumbles through the building and lightening flashes through the sky, and you see and hear it all as you’re working to make your Accelatron move faster.

Storm Force Accelatron During a Flex Ticket Adventure

Here’s how we suggest you turn this from a ride into an Orlando Flex Ticket adventure:

You’ve always wanted to be part of the X-Men, and Storm Force Accelatron helps you be part of the team. Professor X has designed these Accelatrons to amplify Storm’s power over nature. She needs it because Magneto has plans for conquest in motion. Storm cannot use the Accelatron to amplify her power – she has to try to stop Magneto. That’s where you come in. The faster your Accelatron spins, the more control you’ve given Storm over the elements, and the more likely that Magneto will turn and run. So pull for all your worth on the Storm Force Accelatron.

If you successfully thwart Magneto but your power has been zapped in the process, use your Orlando Flextickets to go to Wet ‘n Wild and take a relaxing ride on the waves of the Lazy River. Unlock the power of an Orlando Flex Ticket and turn your Orlando vacation into the real Orlando Flex Ticket adventure that you really wanted.

An Orlando Flex Ticket Adventure Ride to Fear: Doctor Doom’s FearFall

This is article 12 in a series called, “The Orlando Flex Ticket Adventure.” These articles are written to show Orlando vacationers how they can turn their Orlando vacation into an Orlando Adventure by unlocking the power of Orlando Flex Tickets. This Orlando Flex Ticket tour stop highlights Doctor Doom’s FearFall at Islands of Adventure.

Behind the entrance to Doctor Doom’s Latverian Embassy are two towering spires, which were designed solely to suck every ounce of fear out of hapless victims. You saw these towers before you went into Islands of Adventure, and quite possibly when you were driving up. Guess where you’re going now?

You’ll enter this unfriendly, unwelcoming embassy where Doctor Doom gives you just enough light to see how to get to his machine. Your scenery in the embassy consists of flashing computer panels and menacing robotic statues. When you’ve found your way to the ramp that will take you higher up into the embassy, Doctor Doom was kind enough to provide you with a tremendous television monitor that he’ll use to explain his plans.

You’ll be directed to a door by one of Doctor Doom’s minions; a door in the visage of Doctor Doom. The door will open and you’ll see a row of four chairs in which you’ll soon be seated. As you approach the chairs, you can look up and realize the height of the tower that was designed to scare you.

Dr. Doom’s FearFall on an Orlando Flex Ticket Adventure

Doctor Doom’s FearFall is a very high-impact thrill ride. The most intense part of the ride is the G-forces you’re going to feel pressing on you as you’re launched into the stratosphere. When you get locked into your seat, make sure you keep your head pressed firmly against the headrest. You’re going to be propelled into the air at a force equivalent to a space shuttle launch.

Here’s how we suggest you can turn this from a ride into an Orlando Flex Ticket Adventure:

Doctor Doom needs fear so he can use its essence to fuel a weapon that will destroy the Fantastic Four. Although you are a tourist visiting a far off land, Doctor Doom considers you nothing more than a pawn in his plans. You know he wants your fear – you have to decide if you’re going to give him what he wants, or are you going to resist his machine and stall his attempt at conquest.

When you’ve faced Doctor Doom’s FearFall, you can use your Orlando Flex Tickets to go to SeaWorld and catch Clyde and Seamore take Pirate Island. Learn how you can unlock the power of an Orlando Flexticket, and turn your Orlando vacation into the Orlando Flexticket adventure you really wanted.

Revenge of the Mummy: Beware of the Curse on Your Orlando Flex Ticket Adventure

Revenge of the Mummy: enter this attraction with caution.

Unassuming walkways lead you away from a movie set, and into a cool, dark mysterious lair where one of Universal Studios theme park‘s most thrilling rides awaits you on your flex ticket adventure.
Revenge of the Mummy
The building that houses this ride will look like any other studio that holds Universal attractions.
As you enter Paradise Theater, you’ll see photos of the actors, you’ll see props and molds used to make the movies come to life, and you’ll see clips of the movies up on television screens.

But you’ll also get subtle, on-screen warnings from members of the cast and crew.
Some people involved with this production believe the whole movie set that you’ve wandered into is cursed by Imhotep. Some of them don’t believe in curses. All of them seem nervous.
As you travel deeper into the building, the passageways morph into dimly lit catacombs – cool, drafty, and plagued with a constant howl that sounds like breathing. What about this curse – is it real?  Are you in for some real danger on your Orlando flexticket tour?
These chambers are filled with flickering lights, hieroglyphics and ancient Egyptian artifacts – less like a movie set and more like a tomb.
It’s okay to touch some of the excavated artifacts you’ll find in there. If you need proof that the curse is real, maybe you can stick your hands on one of these artifacts and make something happen.
In the center of a large, winding chamber, archeologists uncovered a large box with an imprint of a palm on its surface. It appears to be made of stone, and it’s covered with hieroglyphics. You can’t miss it.

Tip: Reach over and place your palm in that imprint. If you and another explorer do this at the same time, things may happen in the cave.
Continue wandering through the cavern, and you’ll run across another artifact. This one looks like an ancient Egyptian statue; one with a television monitor in it. Take a moment to stare into the screen.
You’ll see people in some other part of the line walking along some other pathway. If you watch them long enough, they’ll vanish, and you’ll be staring at an empty pathway. More evidence that the curse may be real?

Tip: When the key at the base of the monitor glows blue, press down on it. You’ll give some other guest a bit of a shock, and perhaps a little more proof that the curse may be real. You could find yourself on the receiving end of the curse too!
Beware! Archeologists have unearthed other surprises for you too! Whether looking to explore the tomb, or just looking to get to the other end of the line, you really never know what (or who) is coming your way.
When you’ve climbed the stairs and reached the loading area, you’ll get your final warning from Reggie about this place and its curse. However, by then, it will be too late.
The Curse – It’s REAL!
Prepare for a high-speed thrill ride that sends you into swirling darkness to face the Mummy. He wants your soul. And only a flight in the mine shaft coaster that you are strapped into, and the mystical Medjai can save you now.
The queue staging area’s set-up is amazing, and the ride is so much fun. This roller coaster combines awesome special effects with a unique, high-speed thrill ride through overwhelming darkness.
It’s not just about the ride. You get pre-thrill experiences, like the mummy’s offer to join him, or your chance to outrun his Sacrab beetles. If you are a fan of roller coasters, this attraction will have you coming back wanting more.

After you’ve faced the Mummy, get even more thrills trying out 10 other high speed roller coasters with a 6 park Orlando flex ticket.

An Orlando Flex Ticket Puts You Into a Whole Other Dimension at Shrek 4-D at Universal Studios

Mirror, mirror, on the wall - WAKE UP!!

This line doesn’t match the quote that you’re probably familiar with, but there’s a good reason: this story doesn’t involve Snow White.

For you to actually understand this quote’s hilarity, get yourself to Universal Studios theme park. It’s worth your time.
Why: because Shrek, Donkey and a few classic fairy tale creatures jump off the screen at you in Shrek 4-D.

  • Have you seen all 4 of the Shrek movies?
If the answer is YES, well then you need to watch this show in 4-D too. Otherwise you haven’t really seen them all.
If your answer is NO: okay. No worries. It’s not absolutely necessary to have seen any of the movies before your Orlando vacation for you to enjoy this presentation. They’ll catch you up with what’s been going on during your pre-show.
Besides, you can’t see any of the other movies in Ogre-vision!
This story picks up after the first Shrek movie ends:
Lord Farquaad’s ghost has returned from the grave! And he STILL wants to rule!! And he STILL needs Fiona to do it!!!  OH NO!!!!

The pre-show brings you into Lord Farquaad’s dungeon, where you’re placed squarely in the middle of this chaos.

Pinocchio, the three little pigs, Magic Mirror, and Gingy (the gingerbread man) are held captive.

They’re locked up in boxes (or strapped down to table in Gingy’s case) because they won’t tell Farquaad of Shrek and Fiona’s whereabouts.
In the meantime, Shrek and Fiona are lost in the woods trying to find their Honeymoon suite. Donkey is helping to make sure they find it without any trouble.
But out of a creepy pathway comes Thelonious, sent by Lord Farquaad to kidnap Fiona. Against her best efforts, Thelonious snatches Fiona and makes off by horseback with her.

The action really picks up when Shrek and Donkey take off to get her back.
This is a really great show! This is a definite must do attraction at Universal Studios. I can’t effectively put the experience into words, so get discounted Universal Studios tickets at the Official Ticket Center, and you can experience it for yourself. I guarantee you’ll love it a lot more than a shift on the job!
Tip: the original actors from the first film: Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz, Eddie Murphy, and John Lithgow all made it back for their roles this show.
The 3-D effects are some of the best in Orlando. Some creative surprises come your way with the added 4th dimension. Be ready for some big laughs, awesome effects, and high flying action.
Hint: Universal Studios Islands of adventure has a must-do 4-D attraction too. It’s called the Amazing Spider-man.
Note: If you have any neck or back trouble, sit in a stationary seat. (yes, there’s stationary seats. A hint, maybe?) And don’t forget your ogre-vision glasses. You won’t be able to properly enjoy the show without them.
When you get out of the dungeon auditorium, stop by Donkey’s Photo Finish and talk to and take pictures Donkey and Shrek. Donkey sure loves to talk! Shrek sure loves to smell bad! You’ll see what I mean!

Your Orlando Vacation on an Economy Budget

You’d love to spend a week or two on an Orlando flex ticket adventure, but you don’t believe that you have the cash to experience the magic of Orlando yourself . . .

The good news is:
You can get great Orlando accommodations on a economy budget in part by just planning your vacation a bit more carefully.
Apply a few of these tips, and then take your family on a well-deserved Orlando getaway to the Magic Kingdom, or SeaWorld Orlando, or Universal Studios Islands of Adventure without burning a hole in your pocket.

Tip #1. - Don’t Pay full price for Orlando attractions:
First-time visitors to the Orlando area are always surprised to learn that discounted tickets are available on just about every Orlando attraction. For example, if you’re planning to visit Walt Disney World resorts for more than three days, you can save big money on discounted theme park and attraction tickets just by ordering your tickets online.  You can have them delivered to your home, or to your hotel room for a small fee. Or you can just pick them up when you begin your Orlando flex ticket adventure. If you know you will be participating in activities over the span of days, your best bet is to pay the one-time $10.00 hotel delivery, or the $8.00 mailing fee, and have all of your tickets sent right to you.

Tip #2. – Know what you want, and then find the Experts who can give it to you:
Regardless of how you decide to book your Orlando flex ticket adventure arrangements, make sure that you know exactly who you are working with. If you’re looking to save money on booking your Universal Studios Resorts vacation for example, you’d be hard-pressed to find bigger savings on a hotel and car rental package over Priceline.com’s name your own price option.
However, more often than not, Priceline.com is not the best choice for airline travel, unless you have an extremely flexible travel schedule. You’d be better off with an experienced travel agent. Make sure you always ask questions. You will never get anywhere from being silent.

Tip # 3. - When planning your trip, timing is key:
For example, school vacation weeks are the busiest times to visit Orlando. Most parents have no choice but to travel during these high-peak seasons, so school vacation periods in Orlando are always going to be crowded. Expect that airfare will always be sky high too – no pun intended.
If you’ve traveled during these peak seasons, you may have noticed that coach seats during a school vacation week could cost you more money than a first class ticket during the off-season. If you MUST plan your Orlando flex ticket adventure during the peak seasons, please read Save money booking your trip or the Priceline.com name your own price option for tips to save yourself cash.
Please note: Traveling to Orlando during the peak seasons will not ruin your Orlando getaway! You have options to cut down on wait-times even during the peak seasons.

Tip # 4. - Take advantage of your travel service’s mistakes:
If for some reason, you’re booking your Orlando flex ticket adventure through an agency or website, and the company you’re working with makes an error, be sure to take advantage of it. Although mistakes aren’t common, when they do occur, most companies want to keep up a high level of customer satisfaction.
Ask your customer service rep if he or she will upgrade an aspect of your Orlando trip in exchange for inconvenience you may have suffered. Your coach tickets could turn into first class seats, or maybe your hotel room could turn into a deluxe suite. Don’t be scared: ASK FOR UPGRADES. If they say no, then you’re no worse off than before, but don’t be shy about asking.

Tip # 5. – Find the most customer-friendly travel sites:
When you’re booking your Orlando getaway online, first search for Orlando travel website reviews on any site you’re considering. Look for agencies who have shown that they excel at customer service. If something does go wrong, you don’t want customer service representatives who get aggravated with your complaints. Or you don’t want to explain a complicated issue to a service rep living in a foreign country, who’s obviously reading from a script (scripts can’t cover every possible customer service issue that a traveler may encounter).
Just about any travel service is rated on a review site somewhere. The saved aggravation is worth your time to check. * * * Keep in mind * * * People like to complain about bad experiences. Look for the most commonly re-occurring complaints (like bad customer service). Most bad experiences are not usually the fault of the service provider. The experience occurred because of the traveler’s misunderstanding of the travel site’s policies.

* * * Read your travel site’s terms and conditions BEFORE you book * * *

Tip # 6. – A good price doesn’t always mean a good deal:
You want to consider all aspects of your deal; not just the price tag. Quality wins over quantity in most cases. You find a rate online offering a room in Orlando for $20.00 a night near Walt Disney World. Sounds appealing, right? When you check-in, that’s when you discover you’re 30 minutes away from the attractions you plan to visit, and the hotel does not offer shuttle service to Walt Disney World theme parks. Research your areas and their proximity to the theme parks before you book your hotel. We recommend checking, especially if you find a deal that sounds too good to be true.

Tip # 7. – Do your research:
There’s plenty of information available to educate yourself on Orlando vacation travel mastery. Most of it is available for free if you to do the research. Do a Google search for travel websites and forums specific to any trip you’re planning to take: Cruise forums, adventure tour forums, and, yes Orlando vacation forums. Read the experiences and the opportunities that the travelers had before you. The insights you find will usually be helpful, and you’ll learn money-saving tips that you probably hadn’t even considered.

Why Wait in Line For Theme Park Tickets?

Most times, visitors who want to go to the Orlando theme parks worry about the same thing: waiting on long lines.

They also worry about how much it will cost to get into the parks they want to visit.

Other concerns include worrying about not getting into some of the theme parks, and that they might miss out on some of the exciting rides there.

However, a detail that would-be theme park adventurers overlook – an equally important aspect of planning a trip to the Orlando theme parks: how much time they are going to spend on line waiting to purchase or pick up theme park tickets at the gate.

Usually, planning for this little detail boils down to researching what time the target theme park opens, and then planning to arrive at the park gate a few minutes before the park opens, or a few minutes after it opens.

Or maybe the plan is to arrive at the theme park a few hours after it opens. In doing so, the planner can avoid the morning “rush” – an influx of guests wanting to be the first ones inside the park.

Here’s the problem:

  • Hundreds, and sometimes thousands of people are thinking the exact same way.
  • That means the “rush” won’t die down for hours.
  • That means you can be waiting on long lines for theme park tickets at the gate even if you arrive in the afternoon.

And . . . here’s the kicker:

  • When guest traffic into the park begins to die down toward the afternoon, most Orlando theme parks remove employees from the front gate turnstiles.

Less people at the gate means longer lines simply because access to your chosen theme park is limited, because not as many people are there to check you in.

It’s true that the morning rush is always going to be the busiest. However, your best strategy is to have your tickets in hand before you get to the theme parks.

Waiting on line for tickets can steal forty-five minutes or more from your day at the Orlando theme parks.

Plan to get your tickets before you get to the theme parks.

If you have them in hand before you get to any of the Orlando theme parks, it can mean the difference between waiting on line for ten minutes versus an hour and fifteen minutes.

How: you still will have to wait to get checked in, or scanned into the park after you’ve purchased your tickets. So if you’re standing in line to buy them, you’ll be standing in line again to use them.

If you’re the first one at the gate with your discount tickets in hand, you’ll wait ten minutes tops, and then your Orlando adventure begins.

You Have to Live Your Orlando Adventure – Nobody Else Can Do it For You

It’s been our experience that if you search for reviews on any of the Orlando theme park rides, most of the time what you’ll find are bad reviews. It’s not just Orlando theme parks; it’s just about anything related to the travel industry.  It’s also been our experience, as we’ve gone to these theme parks in Orlando for so many years, that the vast majority of visitors who experience these attractions get off of them saying how much fun they had, or how great the ride was. I can only come to the conclusion that seems to be true of internet reviews: people like to complain.

Journey to Atlantis ride SeaWorld Orlando

Journey to Atlantis SeaWorld

So, what’s the point?

In a nutshell, if you plan to take an Orlando vacation (primarily because you’re going to experience as many theme parks as possible), YOU have to be the one to decide if you like the attractions. And you can only determine that if you experience the attractions yourself. Any review you find about any attraction in Orlando contains complaints. Go ahead: Google any attraction or theme park that you know of and see for yourself. A friend of mine once told me, “I don’t think you would like SeaWorld.” I went to SeaWorld not too long after he told me that, and I loved it so much that I ended up buying an annual pass. Your best friends, your family members, and certainly not strangers on a blog are going to be able to tell you what you will enjoy. They can tell you what they enjoy. You are your own person.

In fairness:

If you are planning on going to Orlando for theme park adventures, you will do yourself a favor if you have an idea what type of adventure you’d enjoy before you get there. I’ve seen people who go to Magic Kingdom and get on the “It’s a Small World” attraction, when actually the person was looking for thrill rides. Disney is not primarily a “thrill rides” resort. The theme parks’ review of themselves are obviously going to be biased and try to make you believe that their parks are great, but they will not mislead you into believing you’re getting something that you’re not. Magic Kingdom’s slogan is “the happiest place on earth” (not “the most thrilling place on earth”).

OrlandoVacationsNow.com gives a review of rides from a different perspective. You don’t get the basic “brochure” description of the attractions, because we know that you can get those anywhere. We at Orlando Vacations Now are just as biased about the theme parks as any of the theme park P.R. people, because we believe you should experience all of the theme park attractions at least once. Go to the website and read some of the articles. We believe that the information is helpful. Either way, you have to experience these attractions for yourself. NOBODY, not even us, can tell you that you whether you will enjoy an attraction, or a theme park.
